File Browser to connect Applications

This file browser can be used to locate the binary of an application program which shall be connected to the API. Such an application can use daVinci as a user interface for graphs. One application is the graph editor which is part of the daVinci distribution.

The browser has two views, one for the Directories and one for the Files in the current directory. The current directory is the one shown in the Selection field. To navigate through the directories, double-click on the elements in the Directories view. By clicking on '..', you move to the parent directory. To choose a binary, either select it in the Files view and press the Connect push button or simply double-click it. The browser beeps when you try to access a file or directory for which you do not have permissions, or when the specified file does not exist.

The file browser window can also be used mouseless with keyboard operations.
