Social Event
The Social Event of the 15th IWSBP will be held on Thursday, September 22.
The participants have the possibility to visit the famous Bremen Drop Tower by reaching the top of the tower and joining a guided tour through the halls of the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM).
The social event finishes with a barbecue buffet in a local restaurant nearby.
| 17:00-18:30 | Fallturm - The Bremen Drop Tower The first part of the social event will take place at the Bremen Drop Tower. 
The Drop Tower is the main facility of the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) where experiments under high-quality microgravity
conditions are carried out. The Drop Tower is the only laboratory of this kind in Europe and the demand for drop tower experiments has continuously
increased in recent years. By visiting the Panorama Lounge at 146 meters height for half an hour, the participants benefit from a unique and fascinating
360° view over the Technology Park as well as the city of Bremen. After reaching the ground again, a guided tour will be offered to learn more about the
physical correlations and the scientific experiments which are conducted in the ZARM.

Restaurant "Zum Platzhirsch" The rustic and charming restaurant "Zum Platzhirsch" is situated directly near the Technology Park and can be reached by foot from the University within 15 minutes. During the evening, the participants enjoy a delicious barbecue buffet with vegetarian options. Depending on the weather conditions, the event will take place outdoors or inside the restaurant.
