COMPASS/CFI meetings - transport
Here's some fuller information that people might like to have to help
them make travel arrangements. (I was only out by a factor of two
on the cost of a bus ticket!)

There is a good bus service from London Heathrow airport to Oxford,
a slightly less good service from Gatwick. Here are the
departure/arrival times for the "Citylink X70" bus:

The cost of tickets (in UK pounds):

(valid 3 months)
There is another bus (the "Heathrow Tube") running from Heathrow
(Terminals 1-3 only) to Oxford, departing every hour from 0635 to
2335, also costing 5 UKP for a single ticket and 8 UKP for a period
return.
From London, there are regular trains to Oxford, leaving from
Paddington Station. The journey takes about an hour.
From Oxford bus or rail station, the best way to Lady Margaret Hall
(or St Hugh's) is by taxi; the trip should cost three to four pounds.
I'll post little maps showing where the colleges are once I get your
registration forms.
