You start the system by changing to the directory (using cd
)
where the executable file named cs
is located. (Note: This step
is not neccessary if your PATH environment variable contains the path
of the file.) Then type
cs
(without arguments) to start the system without
loading a collage grammar.
cs
grammarfile to start the system and to
load the specified grammar file.
In the first case you will see an empty (white) main window. If you started the system with a collage grammar as parameter then the first generated page is displayed.
At the top of the window (below the socalled window manager decoration) you can see a menu bar that contains the following buttons:
Note: It is often convenient to pin a menu, such as the the view menu, onto the desktop so that you don't have to open the menu each time you want to access one of its items. The availablity of the pinning function depends the window manager beeing used. You should use the OpenWindows window manager to make use of this function.
