AI-Fit researches the influence of narration and decision in exergames on the motivation and performance of players.

The B-Human project is characterized by the collaboration of project participants, alumni, and employees of the university and DFKI; in recent years, the project has been able to achieve numerous successes at the national and international level in each case, building on the results of the previous year.

The goal of the bachelor project BioGuitar is to create a musical experience from soundless air guitar playing. For this purpose, we attach various sensors to the air guitar player. These readings, in combination with machine learning algorithms, convert the movements into guitar music live.

In cooperation with Fraunhofer MEVIS we refactored RedLeaf, the internal Python library for deep learning, and developped seedRedLeaf, a user-friendly web interface for creating and managing deep learing experiments.

The IoT4U project offers insights into modern system design using practical examples. The focus is on the topic complex of the “Internet of Things”.The central research topic of the project is both the development with and from virtual prototypes and simulations, as well as the physical realization of the previously virtualized systems.

During the project OceanView, we developed a system to record the littering of beaches using camera images.

The Mobile4D project intends to contribute to sustainable development. We are therefore developing various systems in cooperation with the Faculty of Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University in Thailand, which are primarily aimed at the third Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): “Good health and well-being”.

Virtual Traffic Simulator" aims to replicate Bremen’s district of Borgfeld as a virtual environment. In addition to the creation of realistically modeled buildings, busses and the construction of road layouts for the actual environment, it also provides a full set of tools to analyze the virtual traffic and control the environment of the simulation.
