I've been entirely lost in the discussions that happened starting
from Amsterdam meeting and I'm not sure I am the only one.

Let's see at the final version and hope it can be implemented with
standard tools

I do not see the need to have new extensions (quoted-char, new forms
of comments, additional annotations,,,) without having ever had a
first stabilized version.
