Dear Colleagues,

I just noticed that I forgot to officially announce the Tools Task Group
meeting to be hel in Oxford. Please find below the relevant information
(most of the text being borrowed from a similar message sent by Andrzej
Tarlecki to the Methodology Task Group).

Just a word to officially announce also at our Tools Task Group list that
there will be a series of CFI meetings just before the FME conference in
Oxford. See below for details, which undoubtly have reached most of you
earlier. (At least I hope so, otherwise it would be difficult to meet the
registration deadline for the meetings :-)

For the members of the Tools Task Group, let me point out that our subgroup
meeting will take place on Saturday, 16th March, in the afternoon, starting
just after lunch. I hope for a large attendance, but I also would like to
assure you that the meeting will take place disregarding the number of
officially registered participants. The intention is to go on with the
plans decided during the last meeting in Munich. More later...

We're sorry about the closeness of the deadline - the details 
of the local arrangements have only just been finalized.
 
First, here's a reminder of the schedule for the Oxford meetings:

  The following meetings are planned for the days preceding FME'96 
  in Oxford: 

  Saturday, 16th March: CFI tools and methodology meetings (in parallel)
  Sunday,   17th March: CFI language design meeting (preparatory)
  Monday,   18th March: CFI language design meeting (preparatory)
  Tuesday,  19th March: COMPASS/CFI plenary meeting: language design 
                        and planning of further actions

  The meetings on the Saturday will start at 2pm, and those on
  the other days at 9am.


LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS

Grant Malcolm writes:

The COMPASS/CFI meeting will be held at Lady Margaret Hall,
a beautiful college situated beside the river Cherwell and
the University Parks, a pleasant (weather permitting) half
hour's stroll from the centre of Oxford.

Participation costs are as follows, covering all meals and
accommodation from the afternoon of Saturday 16 March through
to breakfast on Wednesday 20 March.

 Single room with en suite bathroom:         290 UK pounds
 Single room with basin and shared bathroom: 270 UK pounds

Arriving on Sunday 17 March, costs will be

 Single room with en suite bathroom:         220 UK pounds
 Single room with basin and shared bathroom: 205 UK pounds

Arriving on Monday 18 March, costs will be

 Single room with en suite bathroom:         160 UK pounds
 Single room with basin and shared bathroom: 150 UK pounds

Only single room accommodation is available within the college;
alternative arrangements for those accompanied by partners, or
those planning a longer visit, can be made by contacting Grant
Malcolm at the address below.

Payment of costs should be made in cash (UK pounds) on arrival
at Lady Margaret Hall.  Please note that the full cost will be
payable if you book but then cancel.

FME'96 participants should book all accommodation through the FME'96
organizers, stating that they are attending the COMPASS/CFI meetings
at Lady Margaret Hall and therefore wish to be accommodated there.
N.B.  The FME'96 deadline for reduced fees registration is also 
Monday 19 February! Details of the FME'96 conference may be found at:
