This document is the basis for closer investigation of the tentative
language design by various CoFI task groups (Semantics, Tools,
Methodology, Language Design), leading to a firm CASL Design Proposal
in March 1997.

I must apologize (yet again) for the delay that there has been
with making this document available.  Kindly let me know about any
missing links in the WWW pages - I haven't had time to check them all
myself yet.  Similarly concerning typos.

A list of changes from the previous draft version of the Summary will
be sent to the mailing list cofi-language@brics.dk.
