CoFI workshop and summer school; CoFI/CASL logos

Dear CoFI Friends,

According to our original plans for the ESPRIT-funded CoFI working
group, funding would end on 30th September and the last event would be
a workshop and summer school this summer in Edinburgh.  I have
recently applied for an extension of the funding until April 2001, in
order to allow the last event to be a satellite workshop at ETAPS 2001
in Genova instead.  I have not yet received formal approval of this
request but I understand that it will be granted.  There is no
additional funding, merely a few more months to spend the money that
has already been allocated.

The exact dates and format of the CoFI satellite event at ETAPS 2001
are still under discussion but it will include a tutorial and will be
integrated smoothly with WADT which is also a satellite event.


While I'm here: CoFI and CASL logos are now available, using Franz
Kirchner's design.  You are encouraged to plaster them all over your
CoFI-related web pages and documents.  Tattooing the logos on public
or private parts of your body is optional, and I don't think CoFI WG
can cover the cost of this.  Gif versions, suitable for screen
viewing, are in

The gif versions are preliminary since I think they should have a
transparent background, and my attempts to do this (see CoFItrans.gif
and CASLtrans.gif) are not entirely satisfactory.
